Miss Edith Annie Snape trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London and was registered with the Royal British Nursing Association on 22 November 1985. Having enlisted in Princess Christian’s Army Nursing Service Reserve, she sailed with them to South Africa on 9 February 1900. For her services she was Mentioned in Lord Roberts’ Despatch (London Gazette 4 September 1901). Entitled to the K.S.A. medal.
