11" x 5" x 8". Manufactured by Oki Electric Company, Ltd., August, 1943. A complete Japanese field phone sent home by Marine Captain E. B. Blake to his parent's home in Tulsa, Oklahoma during WWII. The field telephone is in excellent condition complete in its original aluminium reinforced wooden case and in the original tan rubberized canvas carrying case. The carrying case is in very good condition with all buckles and straps. The reverse side ofthe case bears Captain Blake's APO address and his parent's home address in Tulsa. Three U.S. postage stamps totalling $1.16 are affixed in the upper right corner. A two-page printed English translation of the Japanese operating instructions mounted to the inside of the top lid was found inside the telephone's case. An excellent example sent directly from the action in the South Pacific.
