Private Robert Samuel Haugh, Lancashire Hussars Yeomanry, entered the French Theatre of War on 9 November 1915 and later served as a Sergeant with the 6th King’s Liverpool Regiment (Mic confirms service) with who he won the Military Medal.

New Zealand service papers note he was born on 27 July 1894, served in the army for six years, 4 of which were with the cavalry (territorials and war), attaining the rank of sergeant, was wounded; GSW to right leg. In WW2 he served as #28153 Company Sergeant Major in the 30th Battalion, 2nd N.Z.E.F. He was a Training Instructor for the 30th Battalion in the Pacific Theatre.

Group includes a copy photo of the recipient, WW2 Dog Tags, WW1 ribbon bar, Brass “KING’S” Shoulder Badge, two Brass CSM Badges etc.

Condition generally GVF, court mounted and lacquered.
