CRIMEA 1854, CLASPS, ALMA, INKERMANN ‘T. SPICER, 95TH REGT.’
2319 Private Thomas Spicer was dangerously wounded at the battle of Inkermann, 5 November 1854 and died of vulnus (wounds) at Scutari 3rd Jan 1855.
At the battle of Alma, the 95th sustained among the highest number of casualties of British Regiments present, with 193 Officers and men killed or wounded. It was the same at the battle of Inkermann, the 95th suffering 135 Officers and men killed or wounded.
Condition, VF officially impressed naming. Couple of small EK’s, attractive patina. Ears of top clasp clipped. Sold with some research on including medal roll and casualty entry on CD.
