WW1 FULL PILOTS INSIGNIA FROM RAF 1918 PATTERN TUNIC AND CAP

This is the full set of insignia as from a WW1 1918 pattern RAF uniform worn by Lieutenant G L Newman, a flight instructor and test pilot with the RFC and RAF 1917-18. Group consists of all the buttons, lovely pair of mirrored sleeve eagles/crowns. RAF pilots wings with a little wear and super cap insignia, still on its full band. Also pair of mini epaulette wings with crowns as used on coats etc.

These aren’t exactly matching but are 100% from the same pilot. Crown on one looks like it was cast onto what was originally a RNAS wing. This is very interesting as it shows how makeshift some of the very early 1918 insignia was converted from RNAS. Only thing missing is the cloth sleeve rank bands.

Everything in super condition.
