POST 1925 ISSUE FRENCH PILOT'S BADGE NUMBERED CIRCA WWII

In bronze gilt with silvered wreath, officially hand stamped on reverse with number 37593, which dates it to very late 1930’s to very early 1940. So may well have been worn by a WWII pilot.

All badges issued during WWI were serial numbered and carried an official hallmark of a framed capital ‘B’. Post 1925 their was no ‘B’ stamp and number were larger. Comparing badges with numbers of known badges with dates, would suggest the above date range.
