AFGHANISTAN 1878-80, NO CLASP ‘B/275 PTE. I. JAMES, 66TH FOOT’
Second Afghan War Medal awarded to Private Isaac James who joined the 66th Foot in India on 25th March 1876. He was killed in action at the battle of Maiwand, 27 July 1880, along with another 284 men of the 66th.
His name appears on the Maiwand Lion memosrial in Reading.
